Start with a small set
Choose one string and natural notes. In Explore, tap each available position, say its name and listen. Look back at the staff before moving to the next note. Try to describe how high it sits rather than remembering only the order in which you clicked.
Next, start a 20-question note-name quiz with the same string selection. Your first answer counts. Pause to read the correction after an error; speed can come later. The app adapts future questions using your local practice history, so missed notes may return more often.
Connect reading to the instrument
Switch to the fretboard-position quiz to link a written note to its place on the guitar. This exercise asks for the displayed target position within the selected first-fret range. A real piece may use another fingering for the same pitch, depending on the surrounding music.
After a session, use the colored progress view to spot a few notes worth revisiting. A small number of answers is only a snapshot, not a measure of musical ability. Repeat comfortably before expanding to more strings or adding sharps and flats.
Keep practice easy to return to
A few attentive minutes can be a useful starting routine; there is no promised timetable for mastery. Mix this tool with playing simple music, listening and learning rhythm. Progress is saved in this browser on this device. It is not an account, and clearing browser data removes the saved reports.
Try it yourself
What should you do after repeatedly missing the same note?
Show the answer
Explore that note and its neighbors slowly, then try another short quiz with fewer strings. Read the correction before continuing.
